PVC HEAT STABILIZER CALCIUM-ZINC SYSTEM (CA-ZN)
- When PVC is heated to a temperature of 170-180oC, the Chlorine and Hydrogen atoms in the molecules are released and the release of HCl is inevitable. As the decomposition process takes place, the PVC molecular structure becomes unstable, accelerating the process of releasing HCl and destroying the PVC molecular structure. Because PVC plastic needs to be heated to soften during the extrusion/molding process, it is necessary to prevent the release of HCl due to temperature, otherwise the PVC structure will be destroyed. Stabilizers work to prevent the initial release of HCl from PVC.
